As the sun sets to the west, lighting up a distant layer of clouds over the Rockies, a steady breeze tosses the heads of nearby patches of foxtail grass. It makes for an inviting combination of soft colors and textures on a summer evening along the shore of Lake Abraham. Seen after I had packed up to head back to the vehicle, it's both the final and favorite image I captured that evening. I'm glad I stopped for it.
