Visiting Monument Valley with a Navajo guide, we had some experiences that aren't possible just driving the normal tourist road. This included meeting an elderly Navajo weaver, Suzi. It was very dark in the hogan, with only a bit of natural light coming in through the entry way. But it lit up her face when, as she carded some wool, she gave a little smile towards her daughter Effie just for an instant.
