Gale-force winds toss the lupins around pretty well, and force the heavy cloud cover into strange, twisted shapes. On my first trip to Iceland, the weather was unusually warm and pleasant, but I was hoping for some dramatic skies. Above the Svínafellsjökull glacier in Skaftafell National Park, I got my wish.
